I was in the Bronx a few weeks ago, wandering around the Little Italy neighborhood on Arthur Avenue, when I happened upon this life-sized sculpture of Al Capone, sitting down and enjoying a cigar, below left. One week later, I saw a second copy of the same Al Capone sculpture in the storefront window of a cigar shop (below right) in Larchmont, New York. It seems kind of odd to have never seen one of these before (with no idea of how many of them exist), and then to see two of them a week apart, in two different locations.

It seems that this is a popular item, as I found a site online that sells something similar, and it’s sold out and only available on backorder.
