VANCOUVER — As the Rocky Mountaineer prepares for its 30th anniversary next year, the company has unveiled a new art installation at its Vancouver station, designed by a local artist.
The sculpture was designed by Nathan Scott, and depicts two Rocky Mountaineer team members — an onboard host and a train operations coordinator — waving at the train.
The Armstrong family owns and operates the Rocky Mountaineer, and commissioned the sculpture to show gratitude for employees who have been instrumental in the company’s success.
The family spearheaded the creation of the sculpture to pay tribute to all employees with a special acknowledgment for those who served the company for 20 years or more.
