FRANKFORT — Oliver Art Center’s annual Furniture, Fiber, Photography, and Sculpture exhibition will showcase local talent.
The exhibit opens Friday, with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m.
“A new feature this year will be a multi-media pop-up exhibition from the Benzie Area Historical Society,” said Mercedes Michalowski, executive director of the Oliver Art Center. “The Pop-Up will feature pieces from their collection that coincide with the Furniture, Fiber, Photography, and Sculpture theme of the show in the main galleries.”
The exhibits will run through Feb. 7.
In addition to the exhibition, Oliver Art Center will also be hosting its annual Cabin Fever Artist Talk Series. On Jan. 24, two artists, Carol Irving (fiber) and David Moehle (sculpture), will speak. On Jan. 31, Susan Tusa (photography) and Bill Perkins (furniture) will speak about their work.
The following Friday will be a snow date in case of bad weather.
All Cabin Fever Artist Talks begin at 5:30 p.m. and last approximately 90 minutes total.
All of the talks are free and open to the public.
