Lunar New Year

Happy Lunar New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year!

This year belongs to the rat, an animal that symbolises wealth, freedom, opulence and charm. You can start your Lunar New Year celebrations with Chatswood’s three-week Year of the Rat Festival which includes dumpling tours, calliography workshops, lion dancing and jumbo mahjong. Also keep a look out for the eight towering rat sculptures on display at World Square, in the Sydney CBD. The installation features immersive augmented reality shows, as rats personally interact with visitors. And a host of writers and comedians will share stories at a rat-inspired storytelling session in Chippendale.
